Breakfast was a pleasant surprise, with a rich selection of European and Japanese dishes, especially the local Osaka skewers and curry, and the beef was a real treat. The location is fine for sightseeing, right in the transport hub, next to the big Tennoji mall. The space felt a bit small.

The location was great for catching the train, and the staff were friendly. They eventually helped us switch rooms. I forgot that the room was marked “smoking” because I thought entering the ages of my 12‑year‑old son and me would automatically give us a non‑smoking room. At check‑in I asked if we could upgrade to a non‑smoking room and was told the hotel was fully booked for the rest of my stay. A local friend called the next morning and managed to get us moved to a larger, non‑smoking floor. I was ready to pay for the upgrade, but the staff had already said no at check‑in. That first night was unpleasant; we smelled of smoke and I felt guilty letting my child sleep there, so I didn’t sleep well. Overall, I’d return to the hotel but will double‑check the room type when booking.
