Genuinely one of the loveliest places I've ever stayed! I was visiting San Diego solo for a scientific conference and couldn't have found a better place. As a solo female traveler, I particularly appreciated the balance of safety, comfort, and privacy (the curtains in shared rooms are a great touch!) with such a wonderfully welcoming, social atmosphere. The little things make this place special: shared breakfasts with fellow travellers, a cozy communal living room, fun evening events, and a WhatsApp group for spontaneous plans. Meeting people feels effortless, yet there's absolutely no pressure to socialize when you'd rather enjoy some peace and quiet. It's rare to find a hostel equally suited to a work trip and a sociable holiday, but this place gets both just right. I loved it so much I extended my booking several times! An absolute gem I couldn't recommend more highly. Genuinely nothing, I wish I could stay longer

There’s a reason I keep coming back to this hostel! What makes this place so special isn’t just the excellent facilities or the fantastic location, but the genuine sense of community they’ve managed to create. It has that wonderful backpacker spirit where strangers quickly become friends, conversations happen effortlessly, and even a short stay can turn into a memorable experience. I particularly love how thoughtfully the hostel is run. Everything feels relaxed and spontaneous, yet somehow incredibly well organized. The evening activities are a highlight, bringing people together without ever feeling forced. Whether you’re traveling solo or just looking to meet interesting people from around the world, it’s hard to imagine a better environment. Nothing at all! The only downside is having to leave! It’s genuinely difficult to find fault with a place that gets so many things right. I came back because my first experience was so positive, and I would happily do it again

After my third stay, I can safely say this is my favorite hostel in San Diego. What keeps pulling me back is how consistently wonderful the experience is. It’s rare to find a place that manages to be so vibrant and full of life while also feeling genuinely comfortable and effortless. After three visits, I still haven’t found anything to complain about; each time only reinforces how much I love this place. My only regret is not being able to stay longer each time!
