“fantastic”
The breakfast at Pardor is marketed as “continental,” but that’s a gross understatement.

The location was spot‑on, the room was stunning, and they even provided robes and slippers; I’d definitely return, though the bed felt extremely hard, which seems common after two weeks of UK travel.

The location is perfect, within walking distance of the bus/rail station, Cardiff Castle, and the city centre. The room was great, with its own coffee/tea station in a separate chill area. Breakfast was good, featuring Spanish sausage, toast, cheese, jam, tea/coffee, juices, and homemade cereals. When I forgot my world plug, I could borrow one, which was very convenient. It is pricey, but you get a lot for the cost; it could be cheaper, though Cardiff can be an expensive city. In the evening, you can hear music from nearby venues: a cafe a few houses over stays open late.

The service, location, cleanliness, and breakfast were all excellent; we loved it and will come back whenever we return. P.S. a big thank you to Juan for his help. Only note: there are stairs, which might matter to other travelers, though it didn’t affect us.

The room was amazing, but the breakfast left something to be desired.
