The location is good, but the bed was uncomfortable.
“Best in Scotland!”
The location was spot‑on and the whole team was genuinely caring; I’d definitely recommend The Crab & Creel to any traveler. They offered plenty of comforts—snacks, milk, juice, and breakfast pastries—while staying, and the restaurant below is a bonus with an outstanding seafood menu that focuses on fresh catches. The only downside was that I couldn’t stay longer!
“Good central location. Some parking outside but you need to be timely to get one.”
Breakfast comes as a continental set in the room, and the main bar’s restaurant serves excellent seafood.
“Really lovely”
The staff are very friendly and helpful, the restaurant serves excellent local fish and seafood, the beds are very comfortable, and the showers are good.
The staff were warm, friendly and knowledgeable. The food (particularly the seafood) was exceptional. The venue was very central with easy access to shops, the harbour, the railway, etc. I liked having a fridge in my room. Parking was very restricted as the venue is on an older street in the middle of town and thete is no off-street option for parking. Check-out was at 11 but restaurant opened at 12 (Sunday, I don't know about other days) so continental breakfast had to be eaten in room
