room was spotless
— how guests describe the rooms
“Mar-haus očami seniorok”
We liked the location, and a kind lady baked us byrek; the room had air‑conditioning, a fridge, TV, and hot water. We were four seniors, each with a room, two of us even had a kitchenette. The room furnishings were simple, but the marble stairs were surprisingly elegant. Nearby there’s not only the sea but also many shops and restaurants, plus a great fish restaurant with daily catches at good prices and a bar with direct access to deeper water. In general, Albania isn’t clean everywhere and you’ll find litter here and there. Regarding accommodation, the house has no number, so a taxi driver had trouble locating it.
“Great spot, spotty internet”
The spot is right by the beach and the room was spotless, which I liked. The only downside was the Wi‑Fi – it kept dropping and was frustrating when I needed to check email. Overall, the location makes up for the weak connection.
“Decent spot, but bathroom and Wi‑Fi need work”
The location was fine, just a short walk to the sea. The bathroom was a mess – the shower sat right next to the toilet, water wouldn’t drain and the floor was pretty unsanitary, and the Wi‑Fi kept cutting out. Not the best stay.
“Ottima posizione e famiglia gentile”
The location is excellent and the family is very kind. Despite the friendliness, the rooms weren’t perfectly clean, the shower was a small basin off the bathroom sink, and there were no towels.
“Beachside, cheap eats and friendly host”
It's literally steps from the beach and only a 40‑cent bus ride into Durres, so getting around is easy. Food is ridiculously cheap – you can grab 10 kg of watermelon for €2.20 or a large pizza for €5, and the landlady is genuinely friendly. Nothing to complain about.
