Parking is available, the rooms are great, the service is excellent and the bath can be linked with the sister property for a spa‑tour. No negatives to mention.

We were able to use the hot‑spring baths of a partner inn, and because it was rainy we stopped by the neighboring Yuraruyu‑san. Its water was cooler than Wakanoyu, letting us stay longer, and there are two other inns’ baths you can access, so hot‑spring fans should definitely try it if they have time. At the entrance we change into slippers and only wear our own pair inside, which keeps things clean. The fridge also has a freezer compartment, which was very handy. The building is getting old, and the footfall from the room above can be a little noticeable, but everything else was fine.

The onsen circuit of the chain was enjoyable, especially since the water in Wakanoyu changes colour between evening and morning. The inn area feels quiet and there are few restaurants nearby.
