The Alpenhof Murnau, a 5-star nature resort in Murnau am Staffelsee, boasts luxurious spa and wellness facilities amidst an idyllic location next to the Murnauer Moos reserve. Elegant, traditionally Alpine-styled rooms offer breathtaking views of the Bavarian Alps. The Murnauer Reiter Restaurant serves fine Bavarian cuisine with Alpine views. The hotel is beautiful, set in a lovely environment that feels calm and elegant; rooms were very comfortable, immaculately clean and well kept. We especially loved the surroundings and the overall vibe; the staff were warm and welcoming, and we only wish we could have stayed longer. No complaints at all.

As a Muslim, I was looking for halal food options during my stay. Thankfully, the hotel management provided a good variety of dishes, giving me plenty of options to choose from. I really appreciate their effort and hospitality. As a Muslim, I was looking for halal food options during my stay. The hotel, its grounds, and the staff were all excellent; however, there was no air conditioning in the room, which is disappointing for a 5‑star price. What bothered me more was the €15 daily fee for parking, which feels petty and unfair, especially since nearby street parking isn’t available and you’re forced to use the parking lot.

The whole place is gorgeous and thoughtfully designed, and the staff anticipate every need before you even say it; the wellness area is great, though it’s a pity that it only opens at 11 am apart from the two pools.
