The location was good for a transit point or for visiting Modrice. Check‑in and check‑out were quick and hassle‑free. Parking was included and located right at the entrance. During my stay it was quiet, the rooms were fine, and the area was also quiet. I treated the hotel as a stopover for one night on my way to Austria, so I had no high expectations and it was okay. Some people here praise the “delicious breakfast,” but after seeing it I really want to know what people eat daily, since they called it tasty. I left at 8:15 am, while breakfast was served from 7:30 am, and there was practically nothing to eat. I made coffee, the only thing I didn’t object to, and waited for someone to kindly add something. After a few minutes scrambled eggs appeared, a few slices of salami, a few slices of yellow cheese, and trace amounts of tomato and cucumber. There were also sausages, but they looked so bad that I didn’t even want to check what they were made of. I took scrambled eggs, tomato, cucumber, and a white loaf. The loaves were frozen, reheated in the oven – a typical cheap filler. The scrambled eggs smelled like pork or fat so much that it was inedible. After a few minutes you realize the choice is simple: eat something you don’t want or not eat at all. Honestly, if the hotel serves something like this, it’s better to drop breakfast altogether. At least guests wouldn’t leave in the morning hoping to eat something. Advertising this breakfast as a hotel highlight feels like a grim joke. For me it was definitely the worst hotel breakfast I’ve encountered. In the end, I think there were also chocolate flakes for kids, so maybe that’s what was expected?

The only positive thing was the proximity to the motorway. The reception, the unfriendly staff, the hotel room amenities, and the breakfast were all negative.

We rode a motorcycle and chose this place because it was close to the departure route. The staff were like a super hotel, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Even though we didn’t use the kitchenette in the room, it was a big plus. Breakfast was very good, and the parking space was huge. If we need accommodation nearby again, we’ll definitely return.
