The location is magnificent, but at the end of the season there are fewer dining options at the restaurant.

The location was amazing, with a pristine white beach right outside the door—ideal for relaxing with a book and soaking up nature. They offered snorkeling gear, kayaks and bicycles to borrow; while kayaking about an hour south I spotted a dolphin and, I think, a dugong. Snorkeling from the beach was pleasant though fairly basic, and a short walk let us cross to Mitpet Islands at low tide. The staff were consistently friendly and served tasty meals, and the Wi‑Fi was good enough to stream shows when it rained. The setting was truly calm and soothing, so I added two more nights before heading to Coron city. Staying at SandCastles was definitely the highlight of the whole Coron trip, and although the day‑long boat tours were fun, Coron city isn’t a great place to stay if you love palms and beaches. The only thing missing that would have let me linger even longer was a motorbike rental to explore more of the island.

It works well for travelers who prefer to go their own way.

I stayed in a quiet spot, north of the island away from the southern chaos, and I recommend the sea‑view room.

The place is quite secluded.
