My family is from Sullivan, so we stayed at the Motel 1 night on our trip to Chicago. It was quiet and clean, and served its purpose. The AC worked well. My husband said it looks like it did 35 years ago the only other time he came to visit, we stayed at the same motel. It has new mirrors and tvs other than that it is very dated. So dont expect fancy. Dont expect breakfast, but there are a few places in town to eat

The room was absolutely adorable, with brand‑new, fresh linens and a huge TV loaded with channels; the area is very quiet, safe, and the café across the street is just a short walk from Lady Shelbyville. The owners run the hotel with genuine kindness and professionalism.

The location is fine, but the building feels very old with no updates in years; paying $100 per night was far too expensive for what was offered.
