Clean rooms, crisp white linens, tasty breakfasts, 5-star service—thanks to Talshyn at reception for the hospitality! We were tired from the road, got checked in quickly, received an upgrade, and paperwork was handled swiftly.

We stayed in a two‑level suite with a terrace and everything in the room worked flawlessly; smoking on the private terrace with a coffee from the in‑room machine was great, and the restaurant offered a good menu and tasty food.

The staff were friendly, the breakfast was good, the room was clean, and the location was convenient in the heart of Almaty.

The hotel was nice and centrally located, and I loved the breakfast terrace area on a green, leafy pedestrianised street; everything was fine.

The breakfast buffet offered a huge variety, but items like herring salad, Olivier, dumplings, pierogi, pasta, and fried potatoes are unnecessary for breakfast; everything except the scrambled eggs was bland and repetitive, the bread and pastries were stale, and the pastries tasted bad. The biggest disappointment was the reception staff and management’s attitude: the “family room” turned out to be two adjacent rooms separated by a door, and with four of us arriving around 5 pm after a long journey, the clerk told us one half of our room was still occupied and tried to cram us all onto one bed in the other half; when we asked why, she said the previous guest hadn’t checked out yet and still needed cleaning. We finally got proper accommodation only at 8 pm, which was the worst service I’ve ever seen. Our booking requests for three bathrobes and two separate blankets were ignored, and the housekeeping was awful—trash left on the floor, bins not emptied, tea/coffee and toilet paper only supplied every other day. Despite three complaints at reception, nothing improved. The room lacked teaspoons, any proper cutlery, plates or saucers—just two glasses and two cups—making it impossible to eat the fruit we bought. The pillows were uncomfortable, the breakfast was monotonous, and the only fruit served were inedible apples and sliced orange.
