The location feels very suspect, and the grounds are terrible—there’s a pond filled to the top with scum and trash, and many unsavory characters make you feel uneasy. The room wasn’t clean; black mold on the wall, dirty and unraveling carpet, and an unstable bed that could fall at any moment. The grounds and hotel are old and in poor condition, so we won’t return or recommend it. The staff were friendly and efficient, but that was all.

I always book here because it’s cheap, clean, and only a touch outdated, yet everything works fine; the Metro diner is just a short walk across the parking lot, and there’s plenty of shopping and restaurants across the street. The only downside was a small gap under the door that let spiders and beetles crawl in.

The place was functional and checking in was straightforward, but we had to ration towels and toilet paper, and there were no tissues in the room; it took 12 hours to get a roll of toilet paper. A pile of trash from previous guests lay under the bedside table, and bugs were on the floor when we arrived. The photos were misleading—rooms didn’t match the pictures, and the pool was a swampy back‑yard.

The staff were friendly, helpful, and accommodating, the beds were very comfortable with clean linens, and the A/C kept the room at the set temperature; the location was great with Kroger, Walmart, and Dollar Tree within walking distance. I would stay here again if I had limited options, but I’d prefer a cleaner and more secure place. Breakfast was lackluster—just muffins, apples, and cups of juice concentrate with a coffee machine, and sometimes cereal. The bed made noise when I moved or got in or out of it. The carpet was dirty, there was a gap in the door frame large enough for bugs to get through, the ceiling had water stains, drywall gaps, and bug carcasses under the furniture. The parking lot was littered with cigarette butts and trash, and some guests were questionable, often stopped and asked for money in the parking lot, so the stay didn’t feel secure.
