“Soggiorno tipico ad Atami”

The hotel faces Atami beach, the rooftop onsen is well maintained and open day and night, the room is huge like an apartment with a panoramic window overlooking a scenic beach, and dinner is served and prepared in the room. Some details need attention: the traditional rooms have a hint of odor (normal for onsens) so a diffuser in the living area would help, and it would be nice to have a large towel for the bathroom and another for the in‑room bath.

“Quiet, private, and romantic stay by the beach at the heart of Atami”

The private onsens were beautiful, clean, and quiet, giving us a lovely space to relax together. The staff went out of their way to speak English and provide everything we needed for our stay. We were expecting futons and floor seating, which were fine, but the traditional Japanese pillows were a bit hard on our necks and we had no alternative but to roll up a spare duvet.

“熱海を堪能した一泊”

The room meals let me dine slowly, with simmered 金目鯛, 三升漬け of squid, homemade pickles by the owner, and original soap made from the onsen water in the large bath—every detail showed the inn’s creativity. Most of all, 中居, a foreigner, impressed me with his graceful bows, meticulous handling of dishes, sliding doors, and overall hospitality. The only issue was the bucket in the private open-air bath, which felt dirty and made me reluctant to use it; otherwise, everything was truly comfortable.
