Fair price, comfy bed.

We arrived late with heavy bags, and a very nice man working in the restaurant helped us carry them upstairs; the beds were very comfortable and the hot water was great. We couldn’t turn on the heater and the yellow light was a little annoying for us.

We booked the accommodation for 2 nights to visit the Playmobil-Funpark in Zirndorf (15-20 Minuten) with mom and child, and the Adidas-Outlet in Herzogenaurach was also nearby. We were pleasantly surprised and glad that it was such a good room/ accommodation for us. The price‑performance ratio was top. You can tell it’s an “old house” (under heritage protection) and a lot of love and thought went into it – even the corridors with Greek‑modern flair smell fresh and the light comes through motion‑sensor‑activated lights. The heavy, large, yet modern curtains in the corridors preserve the character of the old house. The room is modern, renovated (2020) with a reasonably tidy bathroom, a mattress (without a “visitor notch”) firm, very pleasant “hotel bedding”, all clean. We didn’t use the flat‑screen TV on the wall. A small writing desk with a chair made it even more suitable for playing or writing. Wi‑Fi had no problems in the room. We were too warm for the outside temperatures there – late evening ventilation and the darkness from the blinds/curtains made it quite pleasant at night – the sun hits the window side in the morning. The window was closed at night, so you hear little of the street. Parking (after the restaurant on the ground floor closed – also highly recommended with a beer garden) directly in front of the entrance was possible. A communal kitchen is available – as far as I could see, it also has everything you need (even a washer/dryer are available) – we only used the fridge. The landlord was very helpful and reachable, and he also checked in from time to time to see if everything was fine. We arrived after 8 p.m. – that was also no problem in agreement with him.

The room was reduced to the essentials for a short‑term holiday, okay. The bathroom was nicely renovated. There was no way for me to hang a piece of clothing, not even a coat, because a small rod with hangers was attached to the ceiling and I couldn’t reach the hangers. Parking was a problem and, if possible, only with a parking disc for 2 hours. Arrival in the evening means: parking was possible with a parking disc from 7 – 9. My own observation: it was apparently monitored.
