This place is spacious and airy in a city where accommodations like this are hard to find. The rooms are big and clean. The restaurant has a nice relaxed vibe. There are two pools and numerous tennis courts and other club facilities. Excellent proximity to the botanic gardens too. The decor in the hotel wing feels a bit spartan, like a gym.

The staff were great. For the price it was old and run down. The bathroom was full of mould and algae in corners at the sink. I wouldn’t stay again if given a chance.

As a bird watcher, I wanted to be walking distance to the botanical garden. The rooms required going up and down about 45 stairs to reach the hotel wing… no elevator.

The pool was lovely and the room was roomy with everything we needed, yet the thin walls made it noisy, the facilities felt dated, it really felt more like a club than a hotel, and the service matched that vibe – we got no guidance on how to use the gym or where to grab towels.
