The place was in a prime spot, parking right in front of the door, and the bed was huge and comfy; the apartment was clean, stylish, and even better than I thought, thanks to the amazing owners. The only downside was that the front was all glass—if the door wasn’t see‑through it would have been even better.

The accommodation was comfortable and not too far from Amsterdam’s center, but we had trouble figuring out the European stove and microwave; the host was helpful though.

Dorothea was a super friendly host, and the location sits calmly on the riverbank with a park, supermarket, and tram or bus within walking distance; the flat was clean, cozy, and had lovely little touches, plus a fully equipped kitchen for quick meals.

The owner welcomed us, the appliances were adequate for a two‑night stay, and we got single‑use slippers; the neighborhood is nice for walks or biking along the canal, and the decor was tidy with a clean bathroom. However, the glass wall made us feel watched, and there was only a small window above the door that couldn’t be opened, so the room stayed cold when we arrived and we had to keep the radiators on. One curtain didn’t work properly, and the owner warned us that the door might break it when we entered and left. When we returned, the radiators were off, which felt like someone had checked the place—including the bathroom—while our stuff was still inside. The room was clean but the pillow sheet smelled like cannabis, probably from previous guests and not removed by washing. The area is far from the city center.
