Everything was great. Maurizio and Mirella are fantastic people, experts at what they do, and the post‑dinner chats were very enjoyable. Nothing to point out.

The location among the woods is lovely. The restaurant is good and the owners are very nice. A relaxing place. The bed was comfortable but creaked with every small movement. There were no complimentary products in the bathrooms (except the liquid soap in the wall dispenser that has to do everything). There is no television even in the common areas, and because the place is a bit isolated, there isn’t much to do at night.

The host and hostess were exceptionally friendly. We came in the January off‑season and were the only guests. The host still made us feel like royalty. The host is a gourmet cook, and we ate superb, varied, local, delicious meals each day. The hotel is high in the mountains, so it was chilly in winter. The rooms were warm, and we ate by a fire. Every day clouds rolled in with rain, even snow. But after one hour, the sun came out. Low traffic and population meant we felt part of the area. Hiking would be easier in non‑winter, but the surrounding villages offered such beautiful scenery and special characteristics. We loved our stay. The host spoke Italian; we spoke English. Impossible? Not. With smatterings of many languages, translations on phones, smiles & gestures we communicated with ease. Our stay was delightful. I would come back in the spring to see the high numbers of migratory birds. Casale Cipriani is a special place.

The staff welcomed us warmly and the place itself was great.
