The apartment is nice, comfortable, and quiet. It has air conditioning in the rooms and fans in the lounge. It sits 5 minutes from where the ferry drops you off, the island is small and everything is close. The owner is very kind and brings breakfast every morning 😊. There’s a kettle and a fridge. The cleaning could be better. It would be nice to have at least some dishes and cutlery for when you bring food from outside.

Nothing to complain about; I recommend it to everyone. The exotic vibe and friendliness are spot on, and the barge ride costs 15 Egyptian pounds per trip for a 5‑minute crossing on Elephantine Island, a picturesque island. Once you cross, you’re in the center of Aswan and you have the whole apartment to yourself.

The place is on an island for the Nubian natives, known for their kindness, and it’s a quiet, beautiful spot overlooking the Nile from both sides. For those seeking peace and serenity, I strongly recommend it. I was impressed by the very courteous treatment from Ahmed; he was polite, respectful, helpful, and lenient. He was supposed to let us leave after 12 pm but allowed us to stay until 4 pm.

The property was nice and close to the water. Ahmed prepared a delicious breakfast and took us on amazing tours around the islands to see the Nubian villages along the Nile. He was very hospitable and helped with everything we asked. The property can be a bit hard to reach for people with disabilities or injuries. The beds weren’t clear at first, but Ahmed quickly replaced the bedding and fixed the sheets. It was very hot, but that’s normal for the location; fortunately the air conditioning worked and kept us cool. There were also many bugs and geckos on the property, likely because it’s on an island.

The owner was great and accommodating, even waiting past midnight for me to arrive. I loved the vibe of the place: clean, tidy, well‑equipped, spacious, and the breakfast was delicious. It’s on Elephantine Island, so you’ll need to take a boat. A pro tip: at the South Elephantine Island public dock, the price is 15 pounds from 6 am–12 am and 75 pounds from 12 am–6 am, so keep that in mind when bargaining. Make sure you have water, snacks, etc., for the night.
