It’s a quiet hotel with an authentic alpine vibe, laid out in a cozy modern style. There are plenty of parking spots right at the door. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are spacious enough to fit a few chairs, and the bathroom is small but well‑equipped with a shower that feels like home. The couple running the hotel are engaged and social; ask them for tips or ideas and they’ll gladly help. On Friday and Saturday evenings a daily menu is prepared. Inside the hotel is also quiet, partly because of a few groups of polite motorcyclists. The area is perfect for motorcyclists, and we enjoyed a lovely walk. In winter it’s a great spot because you can simply walk down to the village, where several lifts are located, and a ski bus stops to take you to Winterberg. The downside is that the village itself has no supermarket, though the Zur Post restaurant is good.
