It was an unforgettable visit on the Croatian countryside fence, where the warm hostess took care of us happily and professionally. Around us were only the chirping of crickets and stars in the sky. The dinner prepared by the hostess was simple but tasty. At breakfast in the beautiful old inn we enjoyed a generous, plentiful selection of local cheeses, cured meats, and fruit, plus farm‑fresh eggs cooked to our liking. The location near the border also helped our trip as we reached the border station on time. The local mosquitoes left my husband with unforgettable marks—farm joys.

We keep coming back because this place is so special. We travel a lot, and it falls right in the middle of our usual route, making it a great stop. What we love most is the peace, privacy, nature, and the sense that you can really slow down and relax. The food is also great, which makes the stay even nicer. We often meet interesting international guests, so it’s always nice to meet someone new and hear about their travels and stories. We’re always a bit sad when it’s time to leave and wish we could stay longer. Hopefully one day we’ll be able to spend more time here.

This was our second stay, and everything was great again. We always sleep incredibly well here—the air feels so fresh, and the whole atmosphere is very peaceful and quiet, so you can really rest properly. For us, it’s actually more relaxing than staying by the sea. We also love having the river nearby, where you can go out by boat or canoe and enjoy the surroundings. The whole area feels very idyllic and calm. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful place to relax and recharge.

Maria is the nicest cook, and “I do everything here,” which is the best there is. Meeting her alone is worth staying here. The traditional wooden house is beautiful and well renovated. Everything is very clean and you feel comfortable immediately. The two Croatian stars for the rooms are a real understatement. For kids there are toys and a wonderful courtyard to play in.
