The location and breakfast, although basic, were very tasty. They serve it early so you can keep heading to Tayrona Park as we did. The room lacks night‑tables and night lights. There are few outlets for a four‑guest room that wants to charge phones or cameras. The shower collects water and the rest of the room gets wet, which feels uncomfortable.

The staff were super friendly and quick to fix things, and the breakfast had arepas, eggs, fruit, coffee – great start. But the rest of the stay was rough. The village outside the Tayrona entrance, “El Zaino”, has constant low voltage and power cuts, which is out of the hotel’s control, but with the heat it made sleeping without AC almost impossible.

We stayed here for one night before heading into Tayrona Park. No fancy extras, just a good spot and helpful staff, plus a pool to relax in. After a nice breakfast we headed straight to the park the next day. We could leave extra luggage for three days, which was handy. The room was a bit dated and the AC took a while to cool down, but otherwise it worked.

The place is super convenient – just a few minutes on foot to the Tayrona entrance. Breakfast is excellent, even vegan options. The owner is very kind and the room is spotless. All in all, a pleasant stay.
