“Lovely six day stay in traditional house in Rabat.”
The property feels very traditional, giving the vibe of an authentic house. The seating area is super comfy, and they provide internet TV so we could log into Netflix. Hot water was plentiful, and the shower room was separate from the toilet, which was convenient. The hosts left heavy blankets at the foot of each bed, a big plus for December, and an electric heater, the only accommodation in Morocco that did this. The kitchen and toilet room were a bit old‑fashioned and the bed needed some updating, but everything worked fine. The hosts were extremely welcoming and kind. The location is great, just a five‑minute walk to the old medina. The toilet sometimes required flushing two or three times for the paper to go down, but that’s a minor issue.
The place isn’t far from the medina. The staff were odd and didn’t make me feel welcome at all. The kitchen was a complete mess; I can’t believe anyone lives there. Only one outlet in the room worked, even though there were four.
I stayed in a spot just outside the medina, far enough from the noise yet close to every tourist spot. There’s a convenient parking nearby for dropping off the car. Even though the owner didn’t speak English, she went out of her way to help me. Finding the place was a hassle because there’s no sign outside, but she did come to meet me when I arrived. The bathroom is separate from the room, which only has a shower and a sink.
