The motel had a strong, unpleasant odor in the hallways. We found live cockroaches and bugs in our room both nights, plus some dead ones behind the refrigeration unit. We told the owner, who denied any infestation. My children were afraid to sleep because of the insects. Horrible experience.

The location was good. Staff were short‑witted and unpleasant. Rooms were not clean and there were roaches.

It was clean in that there was no dirt or trash and the sheets were washed—that was the only positive. It also wasn’t very noisy. The bed felt like particle board with a mattress topper and springs sticking out. Breakfast offered toast, waffles, or cereal. Sleeping in our car would have been more comfortable, but that wasn’t an option.
