The hotel sits in a fantastic spot, the staff are incredibly friendly, the breakfast is exceptionally generous, and the rooms are spacious and very comfortable. Absolutely a tip! No negatives.

I was impressed by Beatrice's service when we arrived after a 15‑hour flight; she welcomed us with a warm smile and assisted us politely and efficiently. In my view, Shangri‑la owes its charm to staff like her. Another helpful staff member at the concierge, a young slim guy, also helped sort out my day‑trip plans. Great job, everyone—especially as we were celebrating my wife’s 75th birthday. I liked everything.

The rooftop pool was under repair. We had chosen this hotel specifically for its swimming pool, so it was very disappointing.

The bathroom lacked a ventilation fan, making showers stuffy; the living‑room TV was old, and the bathroom TV was also outdated, constantly flickering and blacking out—quite outrageous. For this price range, you should think twice before staying.
