The beds were very comfortable in a spacious room with fantastic views. The breakfast was large and delicious, with homemade croissants and fresh ingredients, and the dinner meals were made by talented chefs. It’s a short drive to the ferry to Iona and Staffa, and the staff were friendly and helpful in the traditional welcoming Scottish way. I’ll definitely come back—nothing to complain about.

I was stranded on Mull for a night because of work, so I made a last‑minute booking at the Bunessan Inn. The hotel kept me well informed. When I called to say I’d be checking in late and asked if I could still get something to eat, they said no problem and would let the kitchen know. Alison greeted me upon arrival and was simply the nicest person I’ve met. She showed me to my room, which turned out to be a suite—wow! I then went to get dinner; all the staff were very nice even though I was a little after they normally stop serving. I had Cullen Skink and then breaded haddock, both absolutely delicious. I chatted with the very talkative barman and enjoyed a pint of a very nice ale. The room was very spacious, warm, clean, and the bed was comfortable enough for me to fall asleep and wake up refreshed. The facilities were spot on; the ensuite was clean and the shower great. I had an excellent cooked breakfast, and the bonus of a disposable cup to take coffee away was a fantastic idea. All in all, a great stay—thank you. There’s nothing serious to dislike.

The views were amazing, just like the pictures. The decor feels a bit tired.

The room was spotless and cozy, the view was fantastic, and the breakfast was solid, though there was a mild issue that I couldn't quite articulate.
