“Voor alleen te slapen, geen probleem maar niet om 1 week te verblijven.”
It was big. The jacuzzi was so dirty you really didn’t want to get in, and the shower and toilet were also filthy. Everything felt old and neglected – not worth a repeat stay.
Conveniently located and good value for the price, but the apartment still needs an update – it’s stuck in a 70s style.
Good value
A comfy spot to stay, aside from the stairs. The front door locks automatically once you step outside.
“A Two‑Story Disaster We Refused to Endure Twice”
Nothing special stood out. Nice spot at the start of Rotorua, but the apartment we booked was quite run down. It was a two‑bedroom, two‑story unit. The downstairs bedroom had three beds placed very close together, leaving limited space. The upstairs room was of ok size, though the bed wasn’t particularly comfortable. The bathroom was shabby, and the towel rail was broken, lino lifting. Nice open plan upstairs. The living area needed a little attention as well – the couches had no cushions, and the chairs were oddly higher than the counter. The TV offered only basic channels. Heating was minimal, with just a small electric heater, and the walls were thin. The overall cleanliness wasn’t ideal, with leftover items still in the drawers from previous guests. A significant concern was the homeless camp located directly next door. It wasn’t pleasant to open the curtains to that view in the morning after arriving late the night before. Due to these issues, we chose not to stay for the second night and arranged alternative accommodation.
