“An oasis of tranquility”
A little slice of heaven on earth, with a super comfortable bed and an excellent shower. Free‑range duck eggs were a nice touch, and it’s the nicest place we’ve ever stayed at. No negatives.

The cottage is secluded, beautiful by a stream, and very quiet when the neighbor isn’t building. It was lovingly furnished and the landlord’s communication worked well. However, when we arrived there were long strands of hair all over the floor, so we had to do a quick sweep. We didn’t even touch the spider webs inside the house. The two bathroom rugs didn’t invite us to step onto them. When we tried to get into bed and unfolded the blanket, we found stains on the sheet, leaving us unsure whether the bedding had been changed. We felt uncomfortable. The next morning it got worse: after showering with a fresh towel, we still had long hair on our bodies (even though we normally have short hair), which was disgusting. If the cleanliness had been up to standard, it would have been a great stay.

The location was amazing and I loved hearing the river, but parking was a bit tough with a longer car.

The accommodation was adorable and comfortable, everything in the house was very well organized. It was a shame the lighting hadn’t been replaced; more than half of the ceiling spots were missing, and there was no Wi‑Fi at all.
A perfect, quiet weekend getaway for a couple at the little lodge.
