The Ancient Briton consistently ranks among one of the most inviting establishments we have encountered. Each year, at the end of August, we embark on a journey to celebrate our anniversary. Our selection of the Ancient Briton was predicated on its advantageous location and convenient access to local attractions. The premises offer abundant parking, picturesque surroundings, and an exceptionally hospitable staff. We extend particular gratitude to Emma, the proprietor, who attended to our breakfast service on both mornings. Her welcoming demeanor, inquiries regarding our itinerary, thoughtful suggestions, and invaluable local insights into South Wales' hidden treasures significantly enhanced our experience. The culinary offerings were exceptional, consistently adhering to their advertised farm-to-table philosophy through locally sourced ingredients. We sampled the Restaurant's dinner menu on our first evening and subsequently dined at the Little Briton shack the following day. Both venues surpassed our expectations in delivering exquisitely prepared meals. The ambiance is truly delightful. While I had anticipated more spacious accommodations, this was a personal expectation rather than a misrepresentation in their advertising. I have no complaints whatsoever; our stay was thoroughly enjoyable. We unequivocally intend to return. Our experience merits a perfect 10/10 rating

The accommodation was lovely and clean, with all amenities and a large room that offered a view. The bonus of a pub and restaurant downstairs with exceptional food was a plus.

Everything was very comfortable. The breakfast could be improved.

The staff were super friendly, and the pub and beer garden offered a great selection of cask beers. We had to leave early on both days, so a slightly earlier breakfast time might have made it even better.
