Breakfast and dinner are a disappointment: breakfast is 100% industrial and plastic‑packed (fruit salad and jam in Sodexo style), a shame in a terroir region and in a blueberry “inn”. Dinner is clearly reheated – the rooms are not prepared from one night to the next and the bath towels are hand towels (great for drying…).

We liked the spot right at the foot of the hikes, the café across the street added life to the village and was pleasant. The owners were always nearby and helpful. The room was clean and it was fairly quiet because the place was lightly occupied. We ended up staying under the roofs; we didn’t mention it because we thought the hostel was full, but that wasn’t true. We had to sleep with the window open because of the heat. This should be clarified at booking, especially for the price (90 euros without breakfast) which seemed high for us. The bath towel is too small (90x40) and there’s only one. Shower gel and shampoo were not supplied. We skipped breakfast because it was served too late for hiking (8 am). The dinner was not “fresh”. We barely talked to the owners; it was cordial but cold, perhaps due to the language barrier and them being busy with the café across the street. In the end it feels more like a hotel than a local inn. It depends on what you’re looking for.

The inn sits at the end of a valley, with a bar across the street for a beer after a hike. It’s very clean and quiet. The kitchen could improve a lot with fresh produce.

The mountain location is beautiful and peaceful. I strongly suggest bigger towels for drying off after a shower, and some hand soap in the bathroom, even if there’s no soap in the shower.

The setting is incredible—it’s the last village before the mountains, and breakfast was excellent.
