“A relaxing stay after a long day in the saddle.”

After a long day of cycling, this place was a perfect spot to unwind. The host was fantastic, meeting me personally to walk through every feature of the property. All the comforts were there: water in the fridge was a refreshing touch, laundry was hassle‑free, and the space was plenty, especially for a solo traveler, though it could accommodate more guests comfortably. A supermarket was just a short walk away. The only downside was that, since I was biking, a covered parking spot would have been useful—even for a motorcyclist.

The place had a bit of an old‑world feel but was still fully satisfying for a large group. We appreciated being able to cook ourselves instead of always eating out. I wished there were curtains or some kind of privacy screen on the glass doors on both sides of the changing area.

We chose this accommodation as a stopover on a long train journey from north to south. The owner welcomed us warmly and was very attentive to our comfort, for which we are truly grateful. He recommended a restaurant and even made a reservation, where we enjoyed a lovely meal. The house itself is very roomy, authentic, and has a surprisingly charming character. We walked there from the station; if you’re carrying luggage, it might be worth taking public transport or a taxi. The home sits in a residential area with few shops nearby, but that’s part of its appeal.

“I loved it.”

Staying in an older Japanese house was both a privilege and an unexpected delight. The host was exceptionally welcoming, and everything was clean and comfortable. It was a memorable stay, far better than a typical hotel. Everything was perfect.
