How guests rate the property, aspect by aspect.
The location was beautiful, and the beds and rooms on the property were lovely, but the shower only worked intermittently, which was tough since we were racing against the clock to get ready for a wedding; the pull‑cord issue added a bit of anxiety.

I stayed in a lovely room that felt just right, and it was a pity we couldn’t extend our visit; everything we needed was there and it was super comfy.

The bed was comfortable, yet the evening meal was overpriced and overcooked, while breakfast was plentiful.

The pub/restaurant in the quiet village of Low Newton, a 20‑minute stroll from the sea and close to the Ship pub, was lovely; the staff were excellent and helpful, and the food and drink selection was superb. The room was comfortable and very clean. We enjoyed local walks and visited two castles—Bamburgh one day and Dunstanburgh the next—thanks to the local buses that brought us back to the Joiners. Parking was a bit of a lottery, and the huge umbrellas outside were generally in a poor state of repair, giving a shabby look to an otherwise nice seating area.

The rooms were cracking, the food was good, and the welcome was warm.
