We were happy to be recognized after four months, and we really liked how close the hotel is to the S-Bahn, letting us get to our destination quickly. But when we arrived after 600 km at 14 o’clock, we were told that check‑in only starts at 15 o’clock, which was annoying since it hadn’t been a problem a few months earlier. We had to refuse the first room offered on the top floor because the slanted bathtub made it impossible to shower without flooding the bathroom. The staff’s reply that “someone has to get that room” felt inappropriate; even though finding suitable staff is tough, a bit of empathy is expected when dealing with people. The replacement room had a mattress that I’d rather compare to a hammock.
