“Bon emplacement”
The location is right in the heart of the city, but the room was very damp, the towels smelled strongly of moisture, the room was very dark next to the work behind our window, and the breakfast was very mediocre.

The location is great, but you have to walk a few hundred metres with your luggage for check‑in and check‑out because taxis don't go to the hotel. The building is beautiful with many corners and nooks to relax in, the roof terrace is wonderful, and everything is lovingly decorated. The staff were mostly very, very nice. The guys at breakfast were young and therefore not entirely professional. The breakfast itself was fine and buffet‑style, but nothing special. The pool is very nice, though small, and you know that beforehand. It is definitely a very special accommodation in historic buildings! We also liked the artwork on the walls and the décor with many pillows. We had to take the most expensive room to have privacy in the bathroom with a door; other rooms only have curtains and a half‑wall. The room door with the lock is original and I like it, but it’s a bit inconvenient if someone leaves and the other stays inside. We had a window to the courtyard and a large room, yet the room was quite dark. I saw that there are also rooms without windows, which is naturally a bit oppressive. You should be careful when choosing a room.

The welcome was fantastic.

This place has a lot of character and is very central in Stone Town. We loved all the cool spots to sit and relax around the hotel and the breakfast was also pretty good. We liked it so much that we came back at the end of our trip. Some of the beds were quite hard.

The restaurant was very good! 😃 Everything was pretty and rustic. There was no door in the bathroom 😅
