“Amazing place to stay”
This tiny, quirky pension stole our hearts – everything from the décor to the service felt just right, and we couldn’t find a single thing to complain about.

The terrace meals were a real highlight and the staff were both friendly and eager to help, always bending over backwards to fit our schedule.

The wooden‑sided hotel felt straight out of the Swiss Alps – cozy, spotless rooms and a staff that really paid attention. Breakfast was solid, with an amazing view of the Jungfrau, and the location in the heart of Gimmelwald made hiking a breeze. The village itself is tiny, so a single night is probably enough; note that many rooms share a bathroom, unlike our suite.

Spot on location, staff who greeted you like an old friend, and a restaurant that served great food (the black beer is a must‑try). Our Swiss‑style room was snug, and the shared shower stayed clean and stocked. Breakfast was simple but fine for Gimmelwald, and overall this was my favorite spot in the area. The only gripe is the usual Swiss flies – not terrible here, and they even leave a swatter in the room.

The apartment itself, the view, and the spot were all fantastic – a beautiful building with easy access to hiking trails or a cable‑car ride up to the summit.
