The staff were great, and there was nothing negative.

The place was cheap and the bed was big; no air‑conditioning, but that’s fine. The bathroom had a bad smell and the room was very dark.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was solid: toast with butter and jam, eggs, fruit, and tea, coffee or juice to drink. The location was great, within walking distance of nice warungs and a waterfall hike. The beds were comfortable. The view of Munduk’s mountains was lovely. Hot water was always available when showering. I slept poorly because each night there were a lot of dogs and roosters from the surrounding area. Those animals aren’t part of the lodge, but you hear them everywhere in Munduk. The windows had wooden panels without glass, so the noise blasted straight into the room; earplugs were a must. We stayed four nights, but the room wasn’t cleaned in between and no trash was taken out. We did get fresh towels after we asked.

The bed was comfortable and had a mosquito net. The price was very reasonable. The warung staff were very welcoming and helped us find our next transfer. After the first shower, a very strong odor came from the toilet and didn’t fade during our stay; we had to use a towel to try to mask it.
