The hotel feels modern, but the wellness facilities are too small.

I appreciated that the hotel sits right next to Kyoto Station, just a 12‑minute walk or 9‑minute drive if you’re lugging a heavy suitcase; the room’s décor and lighting were appealing, the bed was very comfortable, and I enjoyed the lobby and the small garden; several front‑desk staff spoke good English, which helped smooth out any issues. However, the breakfast could include more Japanese items like taboyaki and okonomiyaki, as I’ve seen at other Japanese hotels; the boiled egg was hard to peel because the shell clung like glue; and the gym is almost empty of machines, offering only a few cardio options for those who want to keep up their workout routine.

The décor is fantastic, the rooms are beautiful, and the location is excellent; the garage is comfortable and spacious, and everything was perfect.

The staff were lovely and very welcoming, and they gave great suggestions for family‑friendly spots, but the rules about children using the pool are very strict; it would help to have morning and afternoon slots for kids.
