“A Beautiful Surprise in Merzouga”
We booked Auberge Les Roches Merzouga for two nights and found ourselves wishing we could stay longer. The property exudes a lovely atmosphere and feels deeply connected to the surrounding desert. Our room was comfortable, clean, and tastefully decorated with Moroccan touches. We especially enjoyed evenings outside with mint tea, watching the last light fade behind the dunes. The staff were very welcoming and assisted us with everything we needed. Breakfast was generous and fresh, and dinner was tasty. The whole experience was peaceful and memorable from start to finish.
“Aux portes des dunes !”
I was right at the foot of the dunes, the room décor was nice, the inner courtyard and the outdoor tables in front of each room were great, and that tiny rooftop should grow big. But there were little bugs in the pool water and the breakfast was only average.
“best experience in Morocco”
Everything was absolutely amazing—10/10! The spot is perfect, right in front of the dunes, and the hotel itself is beautiful. Everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming, especially Hassan, who helped us with everything and made our stay even more special. We had one of the best days of our entire trip here. The Sahara is breathtaking, all the activities were amazing and very fairly priced, and the food was excellent. Beautiful place, wonderful people, perfect atmosphere.
“Genau das, was wir uns in der Sahara erhofft hatten”
We preferred an authentic spot over a large, impersonal hotel, and Auberge Les Roches fit exactly what we were looking for. The vibe is relaxed and friendly, and the property has a charming traditional feel. After a long day on the road, our room was cozy, and the staff made check‑in a breeze. We savored a delicious Moroccan dinner and spent the evening chatting with the team about life in Merzouga. The next morning, the desert landscape in the early light was breathtaking. A wonderful place to experience this part of Morocco.
A beautiful inn very well located right in front of the dunes. The rooms are arranged around a lovely patio with a fountain, trees, and tables and chairs for each room. The pool is very pleasant, clean, with a direct view of the dunes, and around the tables and chairs there are loungers and especially a nice Berber lounge under a tent. Very calm. Breakfast is very generous and served buffet‑style in mini dishes with tajine and beautiful labeled plates called “les roches.” The staff are helpful and smiling. A short camel walk organized by the owner just for the two of us to see the sunset in the dunes. Thank you for this beautiful, peaceful stay in Merzouga.
