The building is beautifully renovated and partly turned into a guest house, and the welcome was excellent. It sits a bit too close to the road, but nighttime traffic is minimal and the structure is well insulated.

What you expect from those pricey refurbished Greek hotels, yet it’s in Nouvelle-Aquitaine and you can snag it for a bargain. The hosts were super friendly and helped us out despite our limited French, and the house—both inside and out—is truly unique.

The hosts highlighted this property, an old lime factory, and the family room and breakfast area are tastefully decorated. The kids said it was amazing and thanked them; we’ll gladly return and wish them the best with their upcoming project.

The hosts are very welcoming and attentive, the rooms are spotless and comfortable, and the shared kitchen is a real bonus. Breakfast, included in the rate, is well stocked. There’s a terrace and a large garden for a pleasant time; everything is perfect. It’s a shame we only stayed one night… highly recommended.
