In the city centre, near restaurants, cafés and coffee shops, this hotel impressed me with its modern design and courteous, professional staff; the public spaces were clean and well maintained, and I even heard an Iban musician when I checked in. My room was spacious, super clean, and offered a fantastic city view from the sixth floor; the air‑con, Wi‑Fi, and water pressure were excellent, the bathroom was decent, and the bed was very comfortable. I had a kettle and fridge, and I dined in the lobby restaurant where the Thai dishes were great, and my waiter Deny was awesome! The only downside was the restaurant bill: I ordered two large bottles of San Miguel and was shocked the total was just under £24 (£12 each!), with no clear indication of how much alcohol tax would be added on top of the hotel’s price.

The rooms were clean, well‑equipped, and the staff were very attentive and friendly, but the neighbourhood isn’t very walkable, which makes planning meals a bit tricky; it’s fine for motorbike travel, though, and the gym equipment needs some upgrades.
