Guest House Marli ranks among the best places I’ve ever stayed. The entire property is spotless, modern, and feels like home. It’s just a few minutes from Ohrid’s main promenade but tucked down a quiet side street, keeping it away from the bustle. The kitchen has a decent coffee machine that makes good coffee, and keyless entry was a breeze. The highlight was the host, Jovana, and her family—friendly and helpful, with no request too big. Jovana kindly let me check in early and check out late to match my bus schedule. After chatting with a family member who dropped by one morning, he later brought me a slice of his nephew’s traditional Ohrid wedding cake, which was delicious. Their kindness left a strong impression. All in all, a lovely place to stay, and I’ll definitely return next time I’m in Ohrid.
