The price was good, the lake was nice, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I did run into some ants.

The cabin was lakefront, cozy, and had all the amenities you could need—kitchen, bathroom, deck, docks, picnic table, fire pits, and wood—so it felt like a complete getaway away from town. Construction and road work were an issue: we almost got blocked in because they were blacktopping the front entrance without telling us, so we had to drive over freshly dumped asphalt. No one warned us about that. Plus, someone rode a loud side‑by‑side around our cabin at 8‑9 am, woke us up, and made us feel like we should leave.
