“Excellent location, food, comfort but comes with a price”

The place is set in a gorgeous spot, and the scenery is stunning. We stayed in the piggery, a separate building, with the pub right across the road. The room and bathroom were spacious and had a relaxing décor, and there was a Nespresso machine. The outdoor area works well for dogs, and parking is plenty. The traditional pub served an excellent dinner and delicious wine, and breakfast was very nice with good options. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff friendly, so I’d definitely recommend it for a relaxing stay. Nothing to complain about.

The bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable, and the room was spotless. We booked dinner and it lived up to our expectations; the food was amazing. The only downside was the lack of terrestrial TV—only a smart TV sign‑in was available, and Sunday dinner felt a bit pricey.

We were warmly welcomed at the inn. The room was stunning—comfortable, simple, and adorned with lovely, inviting details. There was nothing to dislike.

A lovely quiet spot in a small hamlet in the heart of the Peak District, with easy driving to walking routes and charming towns like Ashford in the Water, Castleton, and Chatsworth House. The pub accommodation was a beautifully restored old piggery turned boutique bedroom with a walk‑in shower; everything was excellent, and we couldn’t fault it.
