The hotel sits right in the middle of town, and the bike garage also accepts motorcycles. Breakfast is basic, and the rooms are like mine—durable, older, simple, and with a few quirks. The only extra charge is 3€ for the garage.

This place is very central, but it clearly needs a renovation. The cleaning was disappointing; I didn’t want to know what kind of stains were in the shower. Daily housekeeping only emptied the trash bin. It was very annoying that I couldn’t ventilate after showering because of the risk of tripping the fire alarm. The room was also very noisy—could hear the electric toothbrush in the neighboring bathroom. No prior information was given about where the parking spots are, and there was no hint that the garages are so tight that I had to fold the mirrors in my Mokka. Breakfast starts at 8:00, which was a problem for me because I had an event starting at 8:00 in Emden.

The armrests of the wooden chair were greasy and sticky. The shower head was limescale‑covered, and the tiles in the shower were dirty.

The location is gorgeous, right on the pedestrian zone and the harbor area, and the reception was friendly. The rooms are a bit dated, but everything is clean and in order.

It was centrally located at the town hall and about a 20‑minute walk from the main station. There was no elevator, and my room was on the 2nd floor.
