A lovely wooden home with a welcoming common area: a well‑equipped kitchen and a living room that opens onto a terrace overlooking the white beach. The room was small and basic, with comfortable bunk beds and a sea view, and the bathroom was shared, opposite the room. We stayed only one night while heading to Senja (the ferry is a few minutes by car) and, after reading the description and philosophy of the house, we were prepared and didn’t bring bulky luggage. The owner, Olivier, was incredibly kind in letting us check in after hours on our own and also told us where to shop along the way, which was very helpful. We’re sorry we didn’t get to meet him in person. All the potentially negative aspects (small room, shared bathroom and kitchen, narrow stairs, costs) were clearly described, so we had already taken them into account and accepted them.
