We booked a cabin and had a confirmed reservation; we were traveling from Canada with our 8‑month‑old infant, so we chose a cabin over a tent. The night before, Lonesome Dove Ranch emailed us confirming a 5–6 PM check‑in. When we arrived, we were told they were overbooked and could no longer accommodate us, with no prior notice. We had to scramble for another place for our infant after hours of travel, and the property offered no apology or acknowledgement. It was a very disappointing experience, especially since we had a confirmed reservation and had planned around traveling with a baby.
