The location is nice, especially the back deck with a beautiful view of the water. If you want to use tap water it makes an incredible amount of noise, so you might as well wait until later in the evening or night to flush the toilet. For a 'big job' you are better off going to the public toilet, because it does not get flushed. Luckily the neighbors were not home.

The location was very nice and within walking distance of the centre. Hygiene left a lot to be desired, with a lot of dust and cobwebs. We stayed on a hot day, the bedroom was extremely hot and stuffy, and without air‑conditioning or a fan it was impossible. Mosquito nets for the bedroom doors would not be an unnecessary luxury.

The houseboat had everything needed and we felt very comfortable; the mooring spot was great, the marina is small and family‑friendly, and a short walk leads to Hattem’s center, which is lovely. However, some things are a bit old and should be renewed or fixed, like the water glasses and kitchen table, and the ladder to the roof terrace is steep, making it hard to bring extra pillows or drinks up.
