The spot is good, you get that local village vibe, and if you walk around in the morning you feel peaceful. The living room lacks an air‑con, but the old one in the room covers it. Overall I was satisfied, but I won’t come back because of the noise: even though the house is inside the village, it’s right next to the outer wall, so I had to endure motorcycle and truck sounds all night. The noise level was like a car passing right next to me, and closing the windows didn’t help; it tormented me until the last day. The Philippine motorcycle roar was insane.

I booked last minute, but the host got back to me fast, even late at night. The area is quiet, and the house had everything we needed, so it was a comfy and convenient stay overall.

The room is very roomy and easy to move around, hot water is great, and there are all the utensils, pots, pans, and a rice cooker; the air‑con is superb. The kettle is plastic, the curtains aren’t blackout, and I had jet lag so I couldn’t sleep at 5:30 am when it was bedtime in the UK. The window isn’t soundproof, so I hear all the road noise, which isn’t far from my room.
