Shaba Boutique Hotel

The hotel sits in stone town, just a 2‑minute walk from Darajani Bazaar, making it a solid base for exploring and shopping. Staff were courteous and helped with our suitcases up the steep stairs. The room met our needs as a pre‑flight rest spot, with air‑con and fan working well. Cleanliness and facilities were impressive for the price. The hotel isn’t car‑accessible, so drivers must park and walk; the stairs are steep. We asked for a takeaway breakfast, but it wasn’t packed properly, so we couldn’t eat it.

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at. The staff are amazing—thanks to Mwanvita for her hospitality, Almasi and Justin were superb, Dennis the manager was very helpful, and kitchen staff Delayah and housekeeping were excellent. Everyone feels welcoming, like home. The room vibe is extremely nice; pillows are comfy, beds are good, and the rooms are large enough for 3‑4 people, especially the suites with private doors and a bathroom. Shared bathrooms are clean on each floor, so you can use them if the inside is busy. Breakfast is delicious, with fresh avocado toast among other items; they’ll add extra items if requested. The hotel is super clean, with hot and cold water available, and refillable water bottles to support the environment. They also help with luggage. Prices are the best in town for a 4‑star hotel. The only downside is that there are no dental kits or slippers in the room, but it’s still a 10/10.

“Boutique, luxurious & unique”

Love the accomodation & layout of this hotel. Boutique & unique . Clean & friendly staff. With all the roadworks in Stone Town , property is hard to access from the main road with luggage
