“Une belle bâtisse 1920 et un parc avec un énorme potentiel encore en jachère.”
The highlights of the place are the building itself (dating from 1920 and with a real history), its natural water pool and its park – which still lacks facilities to match the place. A century‑old oak that is poorly highlighted is worth a visit for curious walkers. Breakfasts were well served and plenty – but the service hours were not up to the standard of the establishment. The dry toilets in the rooms alone justify the green label? not sure. The owners offer a dinner table in the evening, which is convenient but expensive for what is served – a cuisine that was touted as “Northern” but was rather bland and sad. (29€ for a starter‑main‑dessert meal, without drinks – instead of the 25€ advertised on the site) – it was nice to discover, but not tasty enough to recommend. The “gîte‑style” service, a bit casual and “artisanal”, doesn’t work well with the expected standard of the place, which would deserve a real marketing strategy and solid partnerships with local associations rooted in the terroir to make this domain flourish and prosper – especially partnerships for the dishes served at the dinner table.
