Brookvale Guest House Room 17

The room was clean, cleaners came regularly to tidy the bathroom, there was plenty of toilet paper, tea and coffee. The guests were friendly and pleasant. The weed smell, noise and an attempted murder at the opposite property in the area were negative.

The room was spotless and the linens were fresh, and the staff were helpful. The code lock on the door was a bit stiff, and the washing facilities weren't great, but they did work. There were no towels or a kettle in the room 😕

“Absolutely horrific and frightening”

The place was absolutely disgusting was filthy we walked the streets for 2 hours looking for somewhere else to stay the streets felt really unsafe so we brought 2 rolls of bin bags and went back we used the bags to cover bed to sit on why we had gone another person had been in the room I took photos to contact the appropriate people to have the property inspected there were children in the property there were broken sockets exposed wires broken walls and the filth was undesirable hence the pictures I finally got hold of someone who was rather rude and said he would refund money through booking .com not sure how that works but I would also like to point out it is actually a hmo he is running and that was how the other person knew the code to the room when we were out trying to find somewhere we sat up with the door barricaded I can forward pictures if needed, I have pr booked a trip to Brighton with your company which I am having second thoughts about now as it doesn't seem property are checked accordingly before being advertised on this site

“not the best at all”

The bed was comfy, but the whole place was run down. Our door looked like it had been kicked in, there were no curtains, the toilet was stained, and we found empty drug bags under the bed.

“Don’t reply. Don’t respond.”

Nothing stayed, but had no refund or response at all. I didn’t have a response for a refund.
